10 – Week Program
This program uses the love of cars to help NDIS participants connect, socialise, participate, learn and have fun.
Learn to change a tyre, put air in tyres, put petrol in a car, learn to wash a car the right way, drive a go-kart, have a V8 race car experience, ride in a supercar, play driver simulated games, go on road trips and learn what cars cost and how getting and holding a job can get you one.
Ages: 14-25 years
Abilities: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Groups each session
Led by our nurturing and dedicated RYS Acceleration System qualified staff.
Indicative Itinerary:
Week 1: Road trip, V8 Driver Experience and Virtual Reality experience
Week 2: Supercar experience and “Meet the Mechanic” – learn about cars
Week 3: Road trip, go karting experience and visit the theme park
Week 4: Meet a V8 driver, boho picnic and virtual reality driving
Week 5: Go karting (Or defensive driving), driver simulated games
Week 6: Road trip to the markets, V8 Supercar experience
Week 7: Visit a farm, meet the machines, “Meet the Mechanic”
Week 8: Car shopping, Super Car experience, Driving simulator
Week 9: Road trip, Ride in a VW Kombi, “Meet the Mechanic” and see how cars have changed
Week 10: See the Vintage cars (everyone’s favourite cars), theme park and farewell party
