🐾 Animal Adventure Program

Ages: 7–25 years & 25+ years
Abilities: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced (individualised support available)

Love animals? This one-of-a-kind experience helps NDIS participants build everyday life skills and confidence in a motivating, animal-based setting. From farm visits to wildlife parks, this skills-based program uses fun, structured outings to foster independence, community access, and social connection.

Animal Adventure is not therapy—it’s a creative, supportive way to develop practical skills while doing something participants genuinely enjoy. Whether it’s feeding chickens, grooming ponies, or helping at a sanctuary, the focus is on learning, participating, and growing.

💡 What You’ll Do

• Visit local farms, sanctuaries, wildlife parks, and shelters
• Learn animal routines: feeding, cleaning, prepping food, safe handling
• Build confidence in new environments
• Practice responsibility and teamwork through hands-on care
• Plan and reflect on visits to strengthen routine, communication, and memory
• Participate in calming nature-based activities in the community

Note: Program is typically delivered 1:1. Trial or shorter sessions can be arranged on request. Group sessions may be available where appropriate.

📍 Where It’s Run

• Available in most Raise Your Spirit regions
• Runs Monday to Friday, with weekend sessions available
• Locations vary: may include working farms, sanctuaries, or animal rescue centres

• Duration: 10-week program
• Days: Monday to Friday, with weekend sessions available
• Time: 10:00am to 4:00pm
• Trial sessions and shorter versions available by request

⚠️ Supports delivered under 04 codes only cover your Happiness Coach’s time. Any entry fees, materials, or activity costs must be paid by the participant.

This is not an animal therapy program. All activities are designed to support goals in:

• Daily Living & Independence
• Confidence Building
• Communication & Social Skills
• Emotional Regulation through structured, supported routines

The animals provide a motivating environment, but are not the intervention—the participant’s growth is.
